Encore (the UK’s largest musician booking platform) have spent the last few months working with their database of over 10,000 musicians to deliver Personalised Music Messages to clients stuck at home. The idea came about after they (like many others in the entertainment industry) were faced with huge losses and cancellations of bookings due to the pandemic. They therefore put their heads together and, less than 2 weeks into lockdown launched ‘Personalised Music Messages’ – a new service which has helped musicians make money during lockdown by creating unique music video messages.

Through the service customers have been able to purchase bespoke music videos from musicians for as little as £15 and send them as gifts to loved ones. Every video purchased includes a £2.50 donation to the NHS Charities Together. “Customers can come to the Encore Website, book a specific performer, and can have a unique gift delivered within just 24-48 hours” comments James McAulay, Cofounder of Encore

The service has proved very popular over the last few months with thousands paid out to musicians whose salaries have been negatively affected by the pandemic. Since its launch customers have used it to send videos for birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and to loved ones in hospital. “The idea has really struck a chord. It’s honestly been amazing and the most heartwarming thing we’ve ever done at Encore” reflects James whose company has now raised over £1,500 for the NHS since the service began.
